I was asked to design the visual identity for London producer Edward Hopkins ‘Antisocial’ LP. Taking inspiration from the album’s title I chose to build the identity around an isolated character contrasted by textural elements, hinting at the haunting and immersive sound of the record. The strength of the design is in its ambiguity.
All the photography used within the work is my own. Using black and white to create forms rather than subjects the imagery reflects the colder side of city life, something Edward felt spoke to the record.
Work was carried out for a 12” and 7” record and cassette, along with various printed promotional materials.
